Racing Games
Racing Games
Get behind the wheel of your favorite vehicles in some amazing racing games. Racing games have been around since video games first became popular in the 1980s but they have come a very long way. You can usually divide racing games into three distinct categories and these are arcade, simulation, and hybrid.
Arcade games are the ones you find at arcades and their console counterparts. In a typical arcade racing game, such as Burnout, you zoom to the finish line to win and physics and damage aren't usually a big factor. Simulation games, such as Gran Turismo 4, use very advanced physics and customization to recreate a true feeling of how a car handles during a race. Hybrids combine the two with much success most of the time. A good example of a hybrid game is Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition.
Racing games have always been very popular and with graphics improving all the time, they will only get better.
