Jump from vehicle to vehicle, do crazy stunts, earn points, demolish other vehicles without consideration and speed down each stretch of the freeway in a blind fury. You can jump across to another vehicle by pressing Z and arrow.
Be sure that there is another vehicle close by, otherwise you'll be lying on the street real soon.
